How to read an estimate

An estimate on this site has up to four pieces. They are not one number.

  1. Reward. What the pool would pay at the reference price and a smooth day. Difficulty and luck are assumed away.
  2. Power. Draw times a sample tariff. Your hall may be dearer or cheaper. On a term note, power may already sit inside the fee, and the line will say so.
  3. Aure, if switched on. A desk credit. It is not a second reward from the network.
  4. A resale case, if switched on. A hypothetical residual of the capital, spread over the window you picked. It happens only if a buyer appears.

Subtract power from reward before you look at anything else. Add a resale case only when you are asking “what if,” and label it that way in your own notes. The calculator’s window total is the optimistic stack. The 24-hour line, with power beside it, is the one to live with.
