Power price and uptime
Two machines with the same hashrate can diverge in a month. One sat in a hall whose tariff stepped up. The other spent four days offline while a board was out. Neither event appears in a hashrate headline.
Uptime is a percentage of hours actually on the pool. A “99%” month still drops a noticeable slice of the illustration. Ask how the hall reports a stop, and how long parts take when stock is empty.
Power is easier to under-read because it is quiet. A sample of 5.5 cents per kilowatt-hour is what the public calculator uses so positions can be compared. Your sheet may say something else. If the tariff is variable, put the ceiling in the sheet, and let the scheduling desk flag the day it is crossed.
Neither figure predicts the coin. They only stop the hardware story from pretending it is free.
